The Sunday group decided that they would like to look at the work of Lingnan Artists starting with Landscape.
We started with Master Au Ho-nien, who was born in 1935 in China’s southern province of Guangdong and is widely recognized as a leading contemporary artist in Chinese painting. He is Hwakang Professor of Art at the Chinese Culture University, Taipei, a prestigious post and Taiwan’s highest accolade for an artist. Master Au’s paintings have been collected by numerous museums around the world, including the British Museum. Example below:
Re-interpretation by Ayako Kassouf – the picture was still wet when the photo was taken – hence the water marks about the mountains!
